It does have a screen protector on it. Screen is perfect, no scratches or cracks. There are hair scratches that very hard to see from the photos but they there. I purchased this player new and since then only used it a handful of times.

I never traveled with it as only stayed on my desk. I will leave the music library on it just in case you want.
